Privacy
This page tells you what this site collects, where it goes, and what you can ask to have changed or deleted. It is short on purpose, and it describes what the site actually does.
Effective August 26, 2026.
The short version
- Nothing you send is sold, rented, or handed to an advertiser.
- There is no advertising pixel and no cross-site tracker on this site.
- What you type into a form goes to Lauren and to the software she uses to keep track of the people she is helping. That is the whole trip.
- You can ask what is held about you at any time, and if you have an account you can delete it, and everything saved in it, yourself.
What you send through a form
Most of this site asks nothing of you. You can read every page and look at every home without giving a name.
When you use a contact form, a showing request, a home valuation request, or the buyer and seller forms, the site keeps your name, your email address, your phone number if you give one, your message, and the page you were on when you sent it. A bot check runs on the way through, and that is all it does.
If you create an account
Where this site offers accounts for saving homes, the account keeps your name, your email address, your password (stored as a one-way cryptographic hash, never as text anyone can read), and your short answer to what you are looking for. Lauren reads that answer, because it is the whole reason to ask it.
If you choose to add them, it also keeps a phone number, a company, a mailing address, and a profile photo. None of those are required.
The account records the homes you save, the version of the terms of use you agreed to, the date and time you agreed, and the internet address you agreed from, because that acceptance is a record the multiple listing service can ask to see. Sign-in dates and the address of your last sign-in are kept so that unusual activity can be spotted.
If you chat with Rosie
Rosie is an automated assistant, not a person. She can search the homes and answer general questions about buying and selling. Anything she prints about a specific home is printed straight from the listing, and anything that matters is answered by Lauren herself.
The site keeps the questions and answers from a chat for 90 days and then deletes them automatically. Lauren reads them to see what people are asking and what the site failed to answer. A chat is tied to a short random session number, not to your name, unless you type your name into it.
Rosie's replies are written by an outside language model service, so the text of your message is sent to that service to compose an answer. Please do not type anything into the chat you would not put in an ordinary email: no account numbers, no financial details, no identification numbers.
Where it goes
- Lauren's own site. Everything lives first in this site's database, on Lauren's own hosting.
- Follow Up Boss. A new inquiry is copied into Follow Up Boss, the customer relationship software Lauren runs her business in.
- Email. Two messages go out automatically when a form arrives: a confirmation to you, and a notification to Lauren. They travel through the site's email provider.
- Cloudflare. The bot check on the forms is Cloudflare's Turnstile, so a form submission passes through Cloudflare to be checked.
Beyond that, your details are not shared. When you and Lauren are working together on a real transaction, the people that transaction needs (a title company, a lender, the broker on the other side) will see what the transaction requires, and Lauren will tell you who they are.
What is never done with it
- Your information is not sold or rented, to anyone, ever.
- It is not given to advertisers, and it is not used to build an advertising profile of you.
- Your name, your contact details, and your account are not used to train any artificial intelligence system.
Cookies, and what is not here
This site sets a session cookie (it is named rosecms). It is what keeps a form secure and, if you have signed in, what keeps you signed in. It is not shared with anyone. Cloudflare's bot check may set a short-lived cookie of its own while it decides whether you are a person.
There is no Google Analytics on this site, no advertising pixel, and no third-party tracker that follows you from one site to another. As with any web site, the hosting company keeps ordinary server logs of requests, which include the internet address the request came from.
Homes from the RMLS feed
Where this site shows homes for sale beyond Lauren's own listings, that information comes in part from the IDX program of the RMLS of Portland, Oregon, and it belongs to RMLS and to the brokerages that filed it. It is here for your personal, non-commercial use, to help you identify homes you may be interested in buying. It is deemed reliable but is not guaranteed, and anything that matters to your decision should be verified independently. The notices at the foot of every page carrying that data give the source, the reliability statement, the update time, and a link for reporting a data problem.
Looking at a home here does not report you to RMLS or to the listing brokerage. What you save is saved in your account on this site.
What you can change or delete
If you have an account, the account page lets you edit your details, change your password, remove a saved home, and delete the account outright. Deleting the account removes it and the homes you saved with it.
If you do not have an account, write to Lauren and she will tell you what is held about you, correct it, or remove it.
One honest exception: an inquiry you sent stays in Lauren's business records as the record of a conversation you started, in the same way an email you sent her would. Ask her to remove it and she will, unless she is required to keep it as part of a transaction.
How long things are kept
- An account stays until you delete it or ask for it to be deleted.
- Chat questions and answers are deleted automatically after 90 days.
- Enquiries and client records are kept as business records, and records connected to a real estate transaction are kept for as long as Oregon and Washington require a broker to keep them.
- Server logs are kept on the hosting company's own schedule.
Keeping it safe
Passwords are stored as one-way hashes, never as readable text. Links emailed to you for verifying an address or resetting a password are stored hashed as well, so a copy of the database is not a way in, and they expire. The whole site is served over an encrypted connection. Sign-in attempts are rate limited and forms carry a bot check.
Children
This site is meant for adults buying and selling homes. It is not directed at children, and accounts are not for anyone under 18. If you believe a child has given information here, write to Lauren and it will be deleted.
Fair housing
Every home shown on this site is offered without regard to race, color, religion, sex, familial status, national origin, disability, sexual orientation, gender identity, source of income, marital status, or any other characteristic protected by federal, Oregon, or Washington law. Descriptions of a property are the listing broker's own words, printed as filed. Nothing here describes the people who live in a neighborhood, and neither Lauren nor the assistant on this site will steer you toward or away from an area.
Changes to this page
If this changes, the effective date at the top of the page changes with it. If a change materially affects people who hold accounts, Lauren will email them about it.
